Amazon listing public-page self-audit: 10 checks (no Seller Central login)

Flyrock Tech · ~7 min · Offer · FAQ EN · GEO EN · 繁中版 · Title structure · Backend KW · Image–copy

Many teams rush into Seller Central the moment someone says “optimize the listing.” You can catch title stuffing, repeated bullets, conflicting specs, and claim-edge language from the public ASIN page alone — with zero account credentials shared. Use these 10 yes/no/unsure checks. More “no” answers = stronger case for a structured rewrite. Reminder: clearer copy is the goal; this is not a ranking or sales guarantee.

How to run the audit

Open the public ASIN page on phone and desktop. Ask a colleague who does not sell this SKU to answer each line. Backend Search Terms are invisible to shoppers — skip them here (see backend KW gap-fill). After the audit, DIY or hand a DFY draft to your ops team to paste.

Principle: Public-page audit = shopper lens on “what is it, for whom, what proves it, what are the limits.” If those answers are fuzzy, more keywords rarely fix conversion.

The 10 public-page checks

  1. 8-second identity: From title + main image alone, can a stranger name category + main differentiator? (See title structure.)
  2. Scannable title: Any ALL CAPS, symbol spam, or the same keyword thrice? Are core specs early, not buried?
  3. Complementary bullets: Five themes — or five rewrites of “high quality / multi-use”?
  4. Benefit → evidence: Can the first half of each bullet stand alone as a benefit, with a verifiable detail (size, material, pack, compatibility) after?
  5. Number consistency: Do title, bullets, description/A+, and the spec table agree on pack count, volume, and dimensions?
  6. Claim tone: Any “guaranteed,” “cures,” “#1,” or over-medical language? Beauty/health: prefer careful “look of” wording.
  7. Retellable use case: Can a non-seller say who buys it and when? Vague slogans count as fail.
  8. Clear boundaries: Suitability / exclusions / cautions present? Big expectation gaps feed returns and 1-stars.
  9. A+ adds value: If A+ exists, does it only enlarge bullets, or add scenes / tables / FAQ?
  10. Answerable facts: Can public copy answer “what is it, who for, key specs/limits, vs cheaper alternatives?” (Rufus-style extraction.)

Why skip Seller Central first?

Shoppers decide from public information. Unreadable titles, hollow bullets, and conflicting specs are not fixed by stuffing backend terms. Flyrock Tech’s DFY flow also starts from the public page plus your facts/pain points — we never log into Seller Central. Details: FAQ EN · GEO EN.

Prioritize after the audit

Changing every field at once makes fact-checking hard. Lock 1–2 highest-priority fails per round, then re-run the same 10 checks. Also pair with image–copy alignment and variant consistency when the family has children.

When to try Pilot

If four or more checks are “no/unsure,” and you need English marketplace copy fast (or many ASINs), outsource a paste-ready draft. Pilot is HK$680 (once per new customer / 1 ASIN). FPS to dominicwalker69@yahoo.com.hk with remark ASIN+plan. No ranking guarantees — copy and change notes only.

Want a structured rewrite without handing over login?

Bring the ASIN + the one pain that hurts most. Start from the offer page. Self-audit first usually sharpens the brief.
